MISSION STATEMENT
The Sr Controlling & Treasury Manager plays a key role being the financial reference for Moet Hennessy's three wineries in Mendoza (Chandon, MHWE, CDA), acting as a Business Partner and Treasury Manager. This includes ensuring the company's cash flow and supporting financial decision-making (through info analysis). Reporting and forecasting are crucial for providing the group with clear visibility into business performance.
As a strategic business partner, this position collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, providing critical insights, financial analysis, and ongoing performance monitoring to support data-driven decisions and operational excellence.
MAIN RESPONSABILITIES
Business & Financial Control 50%
• Supply Finance
o Manage costing and overall inventory forecasts, projects analysis, and actuals follow-up.
o Monthly follow-up of the costs, inventories, and capital expenditures of the wineries, identifying deviations, and providing business visibility. Take care of working capital health together with Supply Team, Production, Oenology, Sales, Purchases, etc. Monitors inventory follow-up: actual vs target rotation.
o Challenges Capex budgets, anticipates investment impacts on profitability, and ensures alignment with the Maison’s strategy. Calculates Capex NPV, investments prioritization and payback analysis.
• Business Control
o Drive analysis to ensure the quality of decision-making acting as business partner.
o Manage and monitor Cash-Flow and financing means (interest and debt position vis-a-vis LVMH Cash Pool)
o Coordinating and controlling the allocation of expenses and valuation of new wines at the end of each harvest, ensuring correct application of grape costs and production processes for each wine type. P&L analysis by business, country and sku to ensure business profitability.
o Supervising the registration and control of miscellaneous product invoicing, as well as activities between Bodegas Chandon SA and Cheval des Andes. This includes ensuring activities are recorded within established deadlines and controlling prices and costs.
o Participates in the identification and implementation of process improvements, digitalization, and automation opportunities within operations.
• Forecast & Planning – Supply, Operations, Capex, Inventories and Cash-flow.
Following group guidelines on content, timing, and format
o Develop and lead all forecast processes (Budgets, LEs, PMT, R&O, Landing) ensuring high forecast accuracy, analyzing relevant winery variables, and managing the submission, consolidation and communication of financial information
o Drive and organize the forecasting and variance analysis.
Reporting 15%
Plays a critical role as a key point of contact and facilitator of communication with global teams.
Following group guidelines on content, timing, and format
• Coordinate and ensure P&L monthly closing report and financial information for the three wineries. Provides bridge analysis between actuals and forecast on P&L, recommending action plans to achieve objectives.
• Coordinate P&L forecast and report.
Treasury 25%:
• Be the focal point, in the finance team, for all business and operations matters.
• Overseeing and coordinating treasury activities, including cash flow management, bank account administration, and financial projections, with the goal of minimizing risk and maximizing profitability
• Monthly cash forecast to provide visibility to the business, optimizing cash use and generation
Management and Leadership 10%:
• Be the focal point, in the finance team, for all business and operations matters.
• Partner actively with accounting and work in tandem with the Accounting Manager and Internal Controller to ensure smooth operations within the finance department.
• Recruit, train, and develop all team members ensuring a proper delegation flow. Establish yearly goals and assess and address performance.
Requisitos
QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED
Education: Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Finance / Business Administration / Economics /Engineering
Languages: English: fluent spoken and written. French is a plus.
Professional experience & know-how:
• 5 years of experience in FP&A / BP&A / Controlling
• Strong analytical skills and financial rigor, detail-oriented and capable of managing the “big picture”
• Proven track record in operational controlling, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), and budget management. Hands-on experience in managing CAPEX projects, investment analysis (ROI, NPV, IRR), and cost optimization initiatives
• Understanding of internal control: standard process, segregation of duties, assets management
• Experience in the wine & spirits industry, FMCG, manufacturing, or agri-food sectors is a plus
Technical & management skills:
• 3 years of experience in managing a team
• Ability to adapt to and manage change & complex situations
• Ability to communicate in a synthetic and clear way
• Strong knowledge of accounting, costing, and databases / management tools (Essbase, SAP, and SyRUS)
• Management of Office Suite
• Ability to animate meetings and drive results
